Boomhi socks are each made from three reclaimed plastic bottles on average, which means with every pair, you level up your impact by leveling down the amount of plastic waste in the environment.
The journey begins with our reclamation process, where plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and sent to our regeneration facility. Here, they’re transformed into a high-quality and durable thread that gives Boomhi socks their unmatched comfort. Even our packaging uses recycled materials, because our aim is to infuse impact in every step.
It’s said that trees are the lungs of the Earth, and wellness starts with a deep breath. We plant trees because they are the root—literally—of long-term environmental impact.
A mature tree absorbs up to 48 pounds of CO2 every year, removes greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, combats climate change, fosters biodiversity and reduces the risk of natural disasters.
Trees are also known to positively impact both the physical and mental health of people in communities around the world.
Our goal is to plant a billion trees. To help fulfill this mission, we partner with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization that collaborates with local communities in four different regions worldwide to stride towards global reforestation.
The process goes like this: local partners nurture each sapling and transport them by hand to a prepared site. When the rainy season hits, the saplings are planted one-by-one and monitored as they mature.
We keep it simple: for every pair of Boomhi socks purchased, another tree is planted.
